Power Point Slides

Intro
We created a diner that offers 100% Gluten-Free food that eliminates that possibility of cross-contamination for celiac sufferers.

Problem Solver/Opportunity
There are currently no 100% Guten-Free restaurants in Calgary. We have created a diner that completely eliminates cross-contamination, making life easier for celiac's and gluten intolerant individuals.

Target Customer
Our target customers are individuals who are celiac, gluten intolerant, and people looking for a healthier alternative. We are going to reach them through the Gluten-Free Expo, Taste of Calgary, Lilac festival, Sun Festival, and the Body Soul & Spirit Expo.

Business Model
Poeple who are celiac and gluten intolerant wil be willing to pay more to avoid cross-contamination. By year 2 we will have 2 Calgary locations, and in year 3 we will have 3 calgary locations and 1 in Edmonton. By year 4 we will have another location in Edmonton and Vancouver and by year 5 expand to 3 Vancouver locations, 1 Toronto, and 1 Montreal having a total of 10 locations by year 5.  In 10 years we will have more locations in surrounding cites, have a Gluten-Free Calgary food truck, and sell our products wholesale to local food markets.

Get out of the Office and Validate

Name: Tetyana Ekwalanga
BMC: Customer Relationships
Hypothesis: Customers would rather come into the diner to eat than order take-out or buy frozen.

  • The G Box Diner creates a relaxing atmosphere with smooth music, fun, friendly servce, and respectful staff.
  • The G Box Diner cares for the community, and gives back by participating in community charity events, buying products from local suppliers, and attending community festivals.
  • By providing 100% gluten-free products, customers can trust there is no cross-contamination and that their meals are prepared with the highlest level of care and quality.
  • The G Box Diner maintains and cherishes a fun and friendly environment; every customer that walks through the door is treated with the utmost repsect and is a part of the G Box Diner family.
  • Customers can relate to the G Box Diner staff on a personal and friendly level.
  • The G Box Diner continuously learns and coaches in order to provide customers with the best possible service and experience.
  • There is a level of trust between employees and customers, and customers can expect a great experience when they walk through the doors.
  • The G Box Diner connects and interacts with customers by sending biweekly emails informing customers about what's new at the G Box Diner, special promotions, coupons, and community events.
  • Cutomers can interact with the G Box Diner on their twitter and facebook accounts.
  • The G Box Diner has various advertisements and coupons sent out in community news letters.
  • The G Box Diner provides a service to our customers that is outstanding in its quality and flavour, and that they can't get anywhere else.
  • The G Box Diner strives to make a positive difference in the community by providing customers with healthy gluten-free food they can trust, donating to and participating in charity events, promoting local businesses by using only local ingredients, and creating a place where community members can go to eat a delicious healthy meal, and have a great experience.
After analysing the data, I would recommend that we persist with the current BMC dealing with customer relationships. A few suggestions I have that would enhance our relationship with customers would be to create a smart phone App that customers can download to see the specials of the day, recieve coupons and special discounts, browse through simple gluten-free recipes they can try at home, and interact with the G Box Diner through their Twitter and Facebook accounts. We should start using social media as our number one way of interacting with customers outside of the G Box Diner, and have daily updates on all of our social media outlets. We should also host community events at the G Box Diner and employ local musicians and artists.

Tetyana Ekwalanga's Individual Post

The group has been working very well together and I am very excited about the new venture we are working on. Gluten-free products are difficult to find in restaurants and we would like to provide the community with a rare service of 100% gluten-free dining. We began by discussing different routes to take with the restaurant  whether it be connecting with different charities, or incorporating a music and art gallery in the future. We created a twitter summary and venture manifesto, and discussed different values and principals we'd like to live by.

This week I will be working on the cash flow and financial accounts and we will be meeting as a group to add to our MVP and begin working on the story board and prototype.

Last week we all met up and worked on our group video and presented the video to the class later that week. Our video was a little bit diferent than the other submissions because we showed our product being used and the affect our product had on the consumer. I'm happy with our video and feel that we showed the benefits of eating at the G Box Diner.

Tomorrow we will have a group meeting in the afternoon and begin working on our final MVP and planning a time when we can go out and test our hypothesis. I am very happy with the group and we all work very well together. It is exciting to see the final product coming together and I look forward to completing the assignment and finding out how people really feel about gluten free foods.
